ADLER Real Estate AG acquires a stake in DB Immobilien GmbH

Hamburg, 10 December 2008. ADLER Real Estate AG, a Frankfurt-based real estate company, and DB Immobilien GmbH, Heidelberg, one of Germany's leading real estate brokerage companies, have forged a comprehensive strategic partnership. In addition to close cooperation between the two companies, the partnership involves an acquisition by ADLER of a stake in DB Immobilien. "This partnership will benefit all of our businesses" said ADLER management board member Axel Harloff.
The partnership will create a broad new platform for ADLER which will help the company obtain asset management contracts for future portfolios, and thus facilitate the planned ex-pansion of its asset management business. "In the past year, our volume-under-management increased sharply, in conjunction with AIG Real Estate Group," continued Harloff, "and now we have a great opportunity to expand this business further in partnership with DB Immobili-en." The partnership with DB Immobilien also offers considerable potential for the sale of real estate and projects. DB Immobilien's high nationwide expertise provides the ability to evalua-te opportunities, prospects for success, transaction speeds and price trends in a professional manner. DB Immobilien will formulate a joint marketing concept with the object of rapid im-plementation, especially for the residential properties held by ADLER subsidiary Münchener Baugesellschaft.
"In ADLER, we gain a financially sound partner in the industry with a wide array of projects. Together we will optimize development and marketing" said DB Immobilien Managing Direc-tor Dietmar Franz. "We will also be able to offer ADLER attractive investment opportunities all across Germany."
DB Immobilien GmbH operates in the residential and commercial real estate market and has over 60 branches and offices nationwide, some of which are integrated with Deutsche Bank. DB Immobilien was formerly a member of Deutsche Bank Group and continues to work very closely with Germany's largest bank. DB Immobilien has around 200 employees, including 115 field service employees. DB Immobilien has experienced strong growth in recent years.
